mir verwendete "Erhard-Setup" für die Gabel.

I am a bit confused, how much I use oil to the front forks?

1.inner tube
2. outer tude

I understand you can allso adjust it by tweeking oil capasity.

I have a workshop manual, but i am not sure what it tells to do in this case.

Oil in the inner tube (cartridge) provides the damping.
Oil in the outer tube (fork casting) keeps the spring and mechanics gerased, but has no impact to damping.
Amount of oil affects the air chamber. More oil prevents bottoming out, air chamber is getting more progressive.
Kind of oil in outer tube is not relevant, any fork oil will work.

Oil in the cartridge is a different story.
Increasing viscosity can lead into cavitation or harsh damage to shims
or ports.

Revalving shim packages instead of
using thicker oil is the way to go.
Oil in cartridge should be as thin as possible for best performance.
WP 4 or KYB 1 oil recommended.

It was written kind of funny way to the service manual.

I am sortin up "Ernhart" shim packs to my front forks.

The cartridge needs to be filled Up
without any air (bubbles). The 260ml are more an estimation than a valid volume.

Are you familiar with "how to fill a cartridge correctly"?
If not, I recommend a YouTube tutorial.

On the Erhart basevalve chim pack last one is 12/4.

what is it, the hole on the chim is 12mm, so the chim diameter cant be 12mm .

Must be something I misunterstand or something🤔

The rest of the shims under the thicker end plate ist just to keep the height of the stack.

12 4 is not a shim, it is the washer

I have 105 sag at the rear, but 50 mm at the front, is that ok? Isnt it usually same at the front and rear
